Leaf Clan

((I made this story of my Leaf, Cupcake Leaf, and my boyfriend's Leaf, Darkcrown Leaf. He wanted me to write a story about them just talking to each other, but I decided to make it like a cute love story beginning of how their relationship develops. It's one of my first story type deals with romance, so I hope it's good enough. Enjoy! ;D))

Lately, Cupcake had been questioning things. Not too long ago, her close friend, Darkcrown, had asked her to be his girlfriend. Even though not knowing exactly how a romantic relationship works, she accepted it, since Darkcrown was willing to teach her, even though he wasn't so sure himself about it. Even the terms of it confused Cupcake. She had always thought boyfriend meant just having a best friend who's a boy, and a girlfriend as a best friend who's a girl. All of this thinking for the frost creature was making her feel.. Funny. In reality though, it was her feeling uncertain and nervous.

Cupcake sat at the small table in her home, rolling around an apple from the fruit basket that held multiple fruits in the center of the table, still thinking hard. Today Darkcrown had asked her to go on a date. Not exactly sure what that was, she accepted it. Though luckily she later found out a date is a social practice in which two people go beyond a normal friendship. It was also a fruit, but of course Cupcake knew it didn't involve the actual fruit. What if I mess up? What if I say the wrong things? Thoughts flung her head for awhile, until she was thrown out of her thoughts by a knock on her door. She made a light squeal noise in surprise, causing her to drop the apple on the table. Quickly setting the apple back in the fruit basket, she went to the front door, opening it to see Darkcrown. "Hey, Cupcake." He greeted her. Cupcake smiled and hugged him. Still not used to the affection of her, Darkcrown's face turned slightly red, but hugged back Cupcake. "Hello Darkcrown!" She said as she stopped hugging him. "So are you ready to go than?" He asked. "Of course! Um, where are we heading again?" Cupcake said and asked. "Well, I was thinking we could just like.. Walk through the forest and talk, ya know?" He said. Darkcrown knowing the overly happy leaf, he knew she wouldn't mind where they went to. All he wanted was for them to get to know more about each other, and at least hope to open Cupcake's feelings, since they seemed to be only stuck on one emotion. The young lady smiled and nodded at his reply. "Sounds great to me!" She said happily. Darkcrown smiled at her, and closed the door for her to her home. The happy leaf dashed off into the woods though as soon they took one step away from the cabin. "Race you into the woods!" Cupcake yelled off to Darkcrown as she dove into the forest. "Hey, wait! Cupcake!" He yelled back, dashing after her. He was catching up to her, until she made a turn that made him lose sight of her. He had lost sight of her already. "Cupcake?" Darkcrown said, stopping and looking around for her. He couldn't hear her footsteps at all, but he knew there was no way she could of ran away that fast. When he thought he had lost her already, a sudden "boo" came from behind him. His heart skipped a beat for a second, and turned around to see the one he was looking for. "I scared ya, didn't I?" She said and giggled. Darkcrown sighed a bit in relief, but still in shock from her sudden scare. The young lady smiled still at her frightened lover, and took his red cape off of herself. "Ya, you did scare me. I was worried you got lost out here." He said. "Aw, but why worry about me? I know my way these parts of the forest." Cupcake said, and tilted her head slightly. "Well, I care about you." Darkcrown said, his face turning slightly red again. "Here, I've got an idea so we don't get lost from each other." He than said. He than gently grabbed one of Cupcake's hands. His face turned more red from holding her hand, since he loved the feeling of feeling her gentle smooth hand in his rough hand. Cupcake looked over at and Darkcrown and smiled. "Alrighty, let's get going than?" She said. He nodded and smiled back, starting to stroll down the forest floor with the frost creature. It was silent for them, except for the sound of their feet crunching on the forest floor. "So, how long have you been in leaf for?" Darkcrown asked Cupcake, trying to break the silence. "Years now, since it's hard to keep track with everything that happens in the clan." Cupcake said smiling. "All I remember is that I joined Leaf Clan when I was around seven or eight years old. I came to the village with Snowy, since she didn't want me to be all by myself here." She said. "So is that why she is always living with you? I always thought she was your pet or sidekick or something." Darkcrown said. She giggled. "No, silly! I grew up with her, and she's like an older sister to me." Cupcake said giggling still. Darkcrown smiled down at her. "If she's like an older sister to you, are you an only child? Or maybe you do have siblings? I'm not sure since I haven't met your family before." He said. Cupcake fell silent, and her ears lowered a bit. "Um, I don't think I would like to talk about that.." She said. She than started feeling funny again, but it was just her feeling upset about the topic. Darkcrown mentally slapped himself for asking something like that. He didn't realize it would bother her. "I'm sorry. I can tell how you feel though, I don't like talking about my family either." He said to her, his ears now lowering a bit. "Well, we have one thing in common than, don't like talking about family life." Cupcake said, trying to cheer up Darkcrown. "I guess so." He said. It was silent between them again for about five minutes. "Maybe you can, tell me how you feel right now?" Darkcrown asked, breaking the awkward silence between them again. "I feel.. Different." She said. Darkcrown stopped, which caused Cupcake to stop as well. He than turned to her. "What do you mean by different?" He asked her. She raised her shoulders to somewhat shrug. "I don't know how to describe the feeling. It came up after you brought up our families." She said. Darkcrown thought what she meant by that, but quickly understood what she was saying. "Oh! You just might be feeling sad or upset than." He said. "Upset? Is that what sadness really feels like?" Cupcake asked. He smiled a bit awkwardly at her. "I think so. You really never felt sadness before? Like at all?" He said. She lowered her head to the ground and lightly moved a small rock on the ground with her foot. "Is that a, bad thing?" She asked. Darkcrown jumped slightly. "No, no, no, there's nothing wrong with being sad. It's just that I'm surprised you never felt sadness like that." He said, feeling guilty for causing her to make her upset. The girl quietly uttered out an oh and kept moving the rock with her foot still. Darkcrown looked at Cupcake. He didn't know what to do, so he went over to Cupcake and wrapped his arms around her. Cupcake rested her head on his shoulder gently and wrapped her arms around him too. "I'm really sorry I made you feel this way." He said. "Oh, no! Don't be sorry! This happens to me a lot." Cupcake said somewhat frantically. She sighed out. "You know, I was really confused why you wanted me to go on this date with you or, even why you asked me to become your romantic partner." Cupcake said. Darkcrown perked his ears up and brought her closer to himself. "I wanted you to be with me. You were one of the first people to like me for who I was, and didn't care what I am, just caring about me for who I am." He said. Cupcake got more confused. "But, why me? Others care for you too like I do. And besides, I don't even know how love works, I have been probably messing up this whole time for you." She said, and lowered her ears more, now feeling guilty herself. Darkcrown gently grabbed her by her shoulders, and moved her so he could look into her light blue eyes with his dark blue eyes. "Cupcake, you haven't been messing up. You've just been perfect on our first date together. And I know others care for me, and I thank them a lot for it, but I know you care a lot more about me than everyone else, just like I do." He said, and started smiling at Cupcake. The frost creature felt her heart skip a beat, than feeling it flutter a bit in her chest. The words that the night and moon creature said to her kept replaying in her mind. Her face started turning slightly red as a new feeling arose in her body. All she did was look into Darkcrown's dark blue eyes, and still hearing his words in her head. "Cupcake?" Darkcrown said to her. Her face turned more red from hearing her name from him. "Y-Yes?" She said nervously. He smiled at her, noticing how red her cheeks were becoming, even under her green fur. Cupcake's heart was pounding, she didn't know why. She thought she was starting to turn sick from how hot her face felt, and the constant thumping from her chest, feeling her legs feeling shaky as well. But she knew she wasn't becoming sick, she felt alright besides everything else. "I think you are feeling love, Cupcake." The night and moon creature said, smiling still at the blushing frost creature. "I, I am?" She said again. He nodded, and brought her close again to his body by wrapping his arms around her again. Darkcrown smiled more and his face turned red again under his dark green fur, as he felt Cupcake's heart pound against him, even through his armor. "Your falling for me now, just like I did when you first started treating me perfectly on the first day we met." He said. Cupcake's heart pounded faster, and wrapped her arms back around Darkcrown. "I think I like the feeling of love." Cupcake said. Darkcrown smiled still. "Good, since I do too." He said. He than let go of Cupcake, causing her to let get of his as well. Darkcrown than kissed the frost creature's hot cheek, and he could feel the hotness of it on his lips. Cupcake somewhat jumped in surprised, which caused her face to turn even more red, and her heart to jump in her chest. Darkcrown's face was turning even more red as well, and gently held onto her hand again. "Let's just take our time back home now?" Darkcrown asked, and smiled down at Cupcake. She smiled back at him, and they started walking through the woods together, their hands still entwined, as they both didn't want to let go of each other's hands.
