A storm was upon the forest as it threatened a downpour. Ginkgo only hoped that it would come soon to mask her scent in the night. She didn't do it, but it was clear everybody thought so. Ginkgo was nearby the village library when it happened. At least ten creatures were brutally murdered inside the library walls. As she walked in to investigate, a figure ran out covered in blood and she chose to give chase. To her surprise and horror, the figure looked exactly like her.
Now she is running for her life from the place she once called home. Ginkgo was used to being on the run but not like this. No doubt they wouldn't believe her story. Her best option was to run away, she held onto Yasu, who was still not fully aware of the situation; she still believed that out of all the creatures who scorned her now that he would understand.
She looked back for a moment, feeling as if somebody had followed her. But that would be impossible. There is no way the Clan could have organized a search party to apprehend her so quickly. She continued forward, now wary of her surroundings. Ginkgo couldn't shake the feeling somebody was following her.

Thunder rolled overhead, a loud, yet soft, almost melodic sound that was as unsettling as it was peaceful. The sky, now a dark gray of churning clouds, released its contents, and henceforth fell the rain, bathing the forest in a light shower at first, only to become quite harsh as the storm raged on. Each raindrop was like a rock, being slapped against one's fur and skin. The perfect atmosphere for the pursuit of a murderer. The treetops, white with mist clouds that had come with the rain, were an excellent place to lurk without being seen. Perched lightly atop a thick branch, Baelfire examined the scene that was playing before her eyes; Ginkgo was running, fleeing from where she had been entrusted with belief and friendship. And now she was a traitor. A murderer. Bael saw her as nothing more and nothing less. Though, to be frank, it was quite horrifying, trailing her once-called friend. Ducking her head, she tugged on her cloak's hood, hiding her face. The rain fell steadily, beating down on the Sun Creature and everything in the surrounding area. Taking a breath, she hopped from tree to tree, talons locking around each branch that she landed on. As she got closer to her target, some feet below on the ground where Ginkgo was fleeing, Bael prepared herself to make her presence be known. Her wings spread, fanning out; droplets of rain pattered against the soft feathers, gathering in beads and rolling off to fall to the forest floor. In a few moments, Ginkgo would meet the justice that she deserved.

Ginkgo stopped for a moment to catch her breath as she looked around the forest. she noticed that she would soon be going into the more dangerous part of the forest. After a quick contemplation the Moon Creature began to proceed, deciding that the judgement of her former clanmates would be worse than whatever was in that part of the woods. As soon as she stepped forward she heard a terrifying sound that she had heard at least a thousand times before, the sound of a certain Sun Creature's wings. Gingko instinctively looked up though she knew who it was. She could only manage to whip up a strong gust of wind before her former friend Baelfire struck.

To Baelfire's surprise, the gust came toward her at a quick speed. Barely having time to react, she brandished a hand; the branches of nearby trees that had once been her shelter, twined around her, forming a barrier of twigs and leaves. Although she could still feel the force of the wind from within her cover, it was bearable. Once the gale had died down, the Sun Creature tore through the branches, scattering splinters of wood and leaves. Bael had already drawn a palm forward as she focused in on her target. A ball of fire shot forth, setting the ground in front of Ginkgo ablaze with searing hot flame, blocking the way. "Why did you do it, Ginkgo?"

Ginkgo recoiled from the fire and backed up a bit. As she looked up she saw the fury in Baelfire's eyes. She recognized that look, the one that was prepared to kill though she saw something else in the Sun Creature's glare, betrayal? Ginkgo didn't have time to think as the flames suddenly flew higher, masking Baelfire's location. "Why did you do it Ginkgo?" A chilling voice amongst the flames commanded. Ginkgo opened her mouth to speak only to be silenced by the sheer heat of the flames and smoke. She choked a bit on the smoke of the fire that was quickly gaining momentum. The flames continued to crawl up the trees, further dragging Ginkgo into a hellfire where all she could see was the elemental fury of Baelfire and all she could hear was the cracking sound of the burning forest and oncoming thunder. Coming to her senses, Ginkgo made a hasty move towards what appeared to be an opening in the flames. She barreled through it, praying that this really was a stroke of luck and not a tactic from Bael to smoke her out.
